FAQs
Your first message should include:
- The number of tracks in your project;
- A link to the demo of the song;
- If you'll need any vocal edits, tuning, or additional track edits;
- And if you have a deadline.
If you are content with the direction of your demo, send over the tracks with whatever processing they have. If you'd rather I start fresh, go ahead and send them raw. If ever in doubt, you can send two copies, one with effects on and one with them off. If you're sending a Pro Tools session, leave all your effects on.
Other than the demo track of your song that you've been listening to, sending a reference track is not a requirement. You should send a reference track if you particularly like the vibe or feel of another song and want to try to capture that with your song. If there is a specific effect or sound in another song that you want recreated (e.g. a crazy delay), then a reference track can be helpful.
Definitely! Having a well-mixed instrumental can help your track stand out on beat stores or music libraries, potentially leading to more sales, especially if you're selling 2-track beats. If you're releasing a beat tape, this is a great option to present a cohesive aesthetic.
Yes, 3 revisions are included in the quoted price. If more are needed, there may be an additional fee depending on the nature of the revisions.
Once a final mix is approved, you'll receive a 24bit wav file of your finished mix, a 24bit wav file of the mix with limiting applied for loudness, instrumental and vocal only prints, and a 320kbps mp3 of the limited mix.
We do not currently offer Atmos mixing, but do plan to offer it at somepoint in the future.
